AutoZone, Inc. Process Improvement Advisor in Ontario, California

The Process Improvement Advisor provides DLX support to Operations, Advisors and AutoZoners. Researches issues and identifies any opportunities related to the integrity of processes. Ensures that every task completed is done in the most efficient manner and if it is not, helps identify process improvement. Collects data for the engineer(s) and helps maintain any areas linked to production standards. 

Key Responsibilities

· Analyze labor metrics assignment data and make corrections as needed

· Maintain all user’s shift and assignment set up within the labor metrics system

· Maintain warehouse map (locations, aisles, etc.)

· Perform any investigative work as directed by management pertaining to the WMS or labor metrics system

· Conduct time studies and coach employees on safety and efficiency

· Conduct any training or retraining as needed (i.e. New Advisors to input indirect time, complete coaching sessions, etc.)

· Monitor indirect time; review and research indirect cards

· Provide reports to management as needed (i.e. skips report, delivery report, multi-scan report).

· Special projects as needed (i.e. train management/trainers on voxware equipment)

· Collect data on improving processes and reducing downtime

· Support the management team on all DC systems

· Support Process Improvement Advisors from other DC’s

· May fill in for Inventory Control Manager, Computer Room Manager or DC Advisor as needed

· Maintains a safe working environment while ensuring AutoZoners are implementing those practices including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

· Work in a Safety Sensitive environment

· Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

· 1-3 years of computer support experience

· Proficient in all MicroSoft Office software

· Ability to handle multiple priorities

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Must be confident and have the ability to coach others and share knowledge

· Ability to build and maintain relationships and work with people at all levels

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Ability to problem-solve

· Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time

· Must be available to work different shifts, as needed

· Confident in ability to coach others

Preferred:

· 1-2 years of supervisory experience

· At least 1 year of warehouse management system or labor management

    Physical Requirements:

    · Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs. while pushing, pulling, lifting, bending and stooping and using lifting techniques and move loads

    · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    · Ability to work extended shifts and alternate shifts, as needed

    · Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time

    · Consistently required to stand and walk up to 5 hours per day, climb stairs, reach, kneel, crouch or crawl

    · Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus Ability to hear safety horns, PIE horns, pre-shift announcements/safety messages and pages

    · Ability to work in a Safety Sensitive environment (operation of PIE / heavy PIE traffic throughout the distribution center); moving conveyors, heights; maintain awareness of surroundings at all times and quick reaction time to hazardous conditions are necessary

Compensation Range (USD): MIN 50600.0 - MID 67500.0 - MAX 84500.0
