Position Purpose

Analyze, create purchases orders to the vendors to satisfy business needs (replenishment, promotions, seasonality, new programs, etc). Maintain inventory levels and data integrity to ensure system integrity and PO's creation. Provide support to the merchandising team regarding vendor performance and provide feedback to vendors and develop perfomance improvement plans.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Analyze inventory levels, sales and demand to create purchase orders for ICV, US, DI, DSD vendors satisfying inventory requirements to full fill the chain, including but not limited to regular replenishment, promotional activity, new programs, forward buys etc.

  • Develop vendor perfomance reports to provide feedback, support and develop improvement plans particularly with merchandising team.

  • Monitor existing replenishment systems and intervenes where necessary. Includes monitoring seasonal inventory programs, store replenishment system behavior and Hub and Feeder network results. Plans the seasonal inventory requirements. Assists in the decision of when to release the additional inventory.

  • Maintain a weekly meetings with the supliers to provide them the support, information and feedback regarding perfomance and compliance.

  • Maintain data integry such as but not limited to item status changes, minimum order quantities, volumetrics, lead times etc.

  • Bring support to the Category Managers in the integration of the information for the pre-line reviews, line reviews and the analysis of the inventories and expected sales for the new planograms/flexograms. This include the creation of an order format and additional buys.

  • Maintain a daily communication with the different areas of the company and suppliers to get the product on time. This include logistics, international trade and DC team and advice if it's neccesary to the merchandising area about any risk they detect.

Education & Experience

Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.

Area of Study: Business Administration, Finance, Inventory Management

Years of Experience: Three to five years.

Type of Experience: Inventory Management

Special Certifications or Technical Skills: Technical knowledge on database programming.
